Pre-slash Phlint that focuses mainly on Clint's character. I enjoy fics that centre on him, and I love dentalfloss' characterization of him even more. This was angsty and had a painfully long, but fabulously written, build up. It also follows a very interestingly new take on Clint's recruitment to S.H.I.E.L.D. This just pressed all the right buttons for me without becoming too dark or ending bitterly, but still it kept me interested and I couldn't put it down. Plus a bonus is always found for me in a protective Phil and protective team.
I am satisfied.
This author has definitely become one of my favs, and I recommend more of their stories if you are a hurt/comfort Clint fan.
